Coaching Application for 10/11 Season
2010 Travel Soccer Surveys
Meeting Notes
1)
Goal Safety- Coaches are expected to read the GOAL Safety Policy Emailed to them by Dave
2)
Coach Applications – Applications made available. Went over the process. Building database of coaches needs and experience for new DC planning and providing resources for WSA coaches
3) Tryout Information –Dates are set, Standard tryout format form the By-Laws will be used. 4) Tryout Packets will be distributed to teams by 4/15/10. a) New Players will order/pay for uniforms at tryout time. If a player decides not to play there is a $20 dollar restocking charge. b) Tryout Consultants will be used in every age group. 5) Professional Coaching issues a) Please contact Mark or Dave if you need to find professional coaching help i) WHS Varsity High School Coach Mike Besu is available 7- 8:30 on Mon, Fri and all day Wed 6) WIST Updates -95 teams. a) Current teams will be posted by link on the Westlake website. b) WIST Organization Meeting information will be email soon to coaches. Each team should designate a rep other than a coach. c) Volunteer assignments will be discussed. 7) Travel players are invited to the WSA Picnic being held on june 5th, X 8) By Law review is underway.
