Volunteer

WSA is a volunteer-based association. There are numerous levels of involvement. Please feel free to contact any member of the board if you have any questions. Board members' email addresses can be found by clicking on the board tab to the left. Thank you very much for your interest in helping make the WSA the best youth soccer association in greater Cleveland.

Board of Trustees

President: Oversees the Board of Trustees and all aspects of the WSA.
Vice-President: Assist the President and work with the High School program to build the soccer community within Westlake.
Treasurer: Maintains all financial reports and makes payments for any expenses.
Registrar: Coordinate registration activates, manages registration website, and prepares league paperwork. 
Travel Commissioner: Organizes and directs the boys and girls travel programs.
Recreation Program Commissioner: Organize and directs the recreation program.
Director of Fields: Coordinate maintenance, set-up, and use of fields.
Tournament Director: Organize and direct the annual WIST.
Director of Marketing and Communications: Plan, schedule and launch marketing campaigns to gain greater awareness of programs through email, social media and beyond. Maintains WSA website.

Board Volunteers

Secretary: Maintains the minutes for all meetings.
Inter-Community Commissioner: Works as a mediator within the travel programs and maintains the travel by-laws.
Director of Rec/Development Referees: Train and schedule referees.
Director of Coaches: Develop and implement coach training. 
Director of Scheduling: Coordinates all Travel game scheduling; including referee scheduling.
Director of Uniforms: Help with uniform sales and sorting for rec and travel. Plan, manage and run team photos.
Picnic Coordinator: Help coordinate and work at the annual end-of-the-season family picnic.

Travel Program

Head Coach: Coordinate all practice and games, inform parents of team activities, collect player documents for registration, coordinate tryouts.
Asst. Coach: Help head coach with team activities.
Team Manager: Help head coach with the collection of player documents, manage team uniform numbers, collect fees, communicate with parents.

Recreational Program

Parent Coaches: WSA's Recreational Development program combines the experience of professional coaches, who run weekly practices, with parent volunteers, who manage playing time, substitutions and sideline support during Saturday games. No soccer experience is necessary to serve as a parent coach.
